BiteBalance privacy policy.
Effective date: March 26, 2026. This policy explains how BiteBalance handles account, payment, support, and wellness tracking information during the current beta phase.
Scope
This privacy policy applies to the BiteBalance website, the BiteBalance beta mobile application, and related support interactions. BiteBalance is a mobile app for macro tracking and displaying health-related nutrition information.
Information BiteBalance may collect
- Account and authentication information, such as your email address, sign-in provider, and verification or one-time code activity.
- Profile and wellness information you choose to provide, such as display name, macro targets, food logs, nutrition entries, weight, height, birth date, biological sex, unit preferences, water tracking, and related settings.
- Payment-related information processed in connection with beta access purchases, including payment status and limited transaction details made available by Stripe or other processors. BiteBalance does not store full payment card numbers on its website.
- Support communications you send to BiteBalance, including email messages and related support details.
- Basic technical, device, session, and security-related information needed to authenticate your account, operate the beta, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
How BiteBalance uses information
- To create and manage user accounts.
- To authenticate users through Apple, Google, email, and verification-code flows.
- To operate the BiteBalance beta and deliver app features.
- To process and record beta access payments.
- To respond to support requests and account inquiries.
- To protect the service, detect misuse, and maintain system integrity.
- To improve BiteBalance during beta testing.
How information may be shared
- With service providers that help operate BiteBalance, such as payment processors, hosting providers, and identity or authentication services.
- With Apple or Google when you use their sign-in services.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- As reasonably necessary to protect BiteBalance, its users, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
Security
BiteBalance uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and BiteBalance cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deletion
BiteBalance may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the beta, maintain accounts, process transactions, provide support, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, security, tax, or accounting obligations.
If you request account deletion or data review, BiteBalance may delete, de-identify, or limit retained information as appropriate, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or recordkeeping needs.

You may contact BiteBalance at support@bitebalance.net to request support, review account issues, or ask about access, correction, or deletion requests where applicable.
Children
BiteBalance is not directed to children under 13, and BiteBalance does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
BiteBalance may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date when appropriate.
