Data deletion
Delete app data without deleting your account.
BiteBalance lets you request deletion of app data while keeping your account. Use in-app controls for individual records when available, or contact support for a broader data deletion request.
Delete data in the app
When BiteBalance shows a delete, edit, remove, or clear control for an individual record, use that signed-in app control first. This is the fastest and most secure path for deleting individual food logs, hydration entries, weight/profile details, saved foods, goals, or preferences where those controls are available.
Request broader data deletion
Email support@bitebalance.net with the subject "BiteBalance data deletion request".
State the data scope you want deleted, such as app data only, selected nutrition records, hydration entries, saved foods, profile details, goals, preferences, or support data. If possible, send the request from the email address connected to your BiteBalance account.
Do not send passwords, one-time codes, access tokens, raw health exports, or private medical documents.
What data deletion can cover
- Nutrition logs, food entries, saved foods, and related macro tracking records.
- Hydration entries, weight/profile details, goals, preferences, and account-linked app settings.
- Support context that can be removed or de-identified when no longer needed to process the request.
What may be retained
Some records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, enforcement, tax or accounting requirements, or backup recovery. Backup copies age out on the normal backup lifecycle.
Account deletion
If you want to delete your account and associated app data together, use the account deletion page or the Delete account option inside the signed-in app.
